Knauf stands for opportunity. We know that opportunity looks different to each person, and we are proud that we see opportunity in everyone. This exciting role within the Group People Team could be the perfect next opportunity for you to build a unique career, in a values-led culture with a clear purpose of making tomorrow a home for all of us.
We are a family-owned, global manufacturer of construction materials and within our Group, our 42,000 team members in 90 countries across 300 sites provide a huge opportunity for anyone with ambition and energy. We value everyone's contribution equally and we ask that you bring your whole self to work, to enrich the business further, as together we achieve more in a safe and inclusive environment.
We have an almost one-hundred-year heritage, but we still have big plans for the future. Our global reach continues to grow and we are looking for passionate, ambitious people to help us achieve our goals. We are all led by the same core values and believe in the powerful potential of large companies to have a positive impact on the world.
Reporting into the Chief People Officer, we are searching for a team member to join us as the Group People Talent Lead.
It is our preference that the candidate will have frequent presence at our Global HQ in Iphofen, Germany; as such, candidates will likely already be based in Germany or be willing to relocate to the area. You will also be required to undertake international travel in line with the needs of the business.
Can you say ‘yes’ to the following?
Do you treat your colleagues with respect?
Do you always have the customer in mind?
Do you act with future generations in mind?
Do you have a proven track record of delivering results?
If so, we would welcome your application.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and cultivating the talent that drives our company's success. You will lead a team of four, with whom you will collaborate closely to oversee leadership development, performance management, succession planning, and the execution of learning and training initiatives on a global scale. A central aspect of your role will involve leading the employee engagement strategy, energizing and inspiring both your team and the wider organization to unlock the full potential of our employees and fuel our collective success. As a leader, you will not only advance and nurture our company culture through strategic initiatives but also serve as a crucial link between Talent Acquisition and our people development strategies.
The ideal candidate would have previously worked within a broad people/HR business partnering role before moving into a senior talent post; designing and executing talent strategy regionally or globally.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and implement comprehensive leadership development programs to foster a culture of continuous growth and excellence.
- Oversee global performance management processes and drive succession planning initiatives
- Lead the design and execution of impactful learning and training programs, and act as a strategic partner to Talent Acquisition; collaborating to attract top-tier talent and ensuring a seamless integration between recruitment and people development.
- Drive efforts to strengthen and evolve our company culture, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
- Implement strategies to integrate our company purpose into everyday practices, and also lead the topic of employee engagement on a global scale.
What we’d love for you to have:
- Proven experience in a similar leadership role within a global organization.
- Strong background in leadership development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing effective learning and training initiatives.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align talent initiatives with business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cultural initiatives, with a focus on diversity and purpose integration.
- Strong communication skills (English is mandatory, proficiency in German is a plus).
We are interested in you as a person, your attitude, behaviors and values. If you have the willingness to learn anything you need for the role that you do not already have, we'd love to speak to you.
